Jasmine is a professional make-up artist who loves sharing makeup knowledge. Her drive to teach gives her fufilment when she knows she can make learning makeup fun and worthwhile. What is your favourite topic to teach & why?
Eyeshadows! Because it involves a variety of colours and palettes to play around with. There are so many looks you can create with just one palette.
Why do you feel passionate about makeup education?
I first started to develop interest and passion for makeup while doing it for not just myself and I like the idea of educating them on the various makeup knowledge while touching up and showing them the final look with smiles on their faces.
Each time I see them lit up, I felt the sense of fulfilment and satisfaction that I’ve never felt before. Understanding makeup on a deeper level, it isn’t just for “beautiful” people; anyone can and should be able to wear it, should they want to. I will really want to spread the power of makeup!
What are your hobbies or pastimes?
I really enjoy doing makeup on the people around me during their special occasions! Other than that, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and cycle. I love to enjoy a cuppa in a cafe with my friends too!
What makeup journey like? When you first started applying makeup until now?
I first started exposing to makeup somewhere along my journey of self-love, back in my teenage years. I watched my mum and sister paint their faces and enhance their beauty, opting to enhance mine too on special occasions.
As I explore my relationship with makeup, I often find myself feeling confident and empowered after having a complete makeup look. Makeup then, for me, has since become a tool of expression. On days where I felt hyped, I could pick some flamboyant eyeshadows while on days I felt romantic, a rosy pink lips could express this. Makeup is something that will always be a part of my life!

Jasmine is currently available on Mondays – Fridays, 7pm – 9pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-9pm.
