Both options are private and personalised. The difference is really in how much experience and depth of customisation you need.

When Should I Choose a Bloom Associate?
Bloom Associates typically have around 2–3 years of professional makeup experience and are a great choice for learning basic makeup application and simple everyday makeup.
If you're a complete beginner wondering where to learn makeup, you don't necessarily need the most advanced lesson available.
An Associate can teach you the fundamentals, help you understand the products you're using and show you how to put together an everyday makeup routine that you can confidently recreate at home.
A Bloom Associate may be right for you if:
- You're relatively new to makeup.
- You want to learn a simple, natural everyday makeup look.
- You're looking for a makeup course for beginners.
- You want to understand the fundamentals of applying makeup on yourself.
- You want help learning how to use the makeup you already own.
- You don't have particularly complicated skin or makeup concerns.
- You're looking for a more affordable personal makeup class in Singapore.
For many beginners, an Associate is genuinely all you need.

With more than a decade of experience in makeup and education, Roseanne is particularly suited to situations where the answer to your makeup concern may not be as straightforward.
Perhaps you've watched countless tutorials but the techniques never seem to work quite the same way on your face.
Maybe your foundation doesn't sit properly on your skin.
Your concealer doesn't cover your dark circles the way you'd like it to.
You have particular skin concerns that make choosing products or techniques more difficult.
Or perhaps you've seen a specific makeup look that you love and want to understand how to adapt it to your own features.
These are the situations where Roseanne's additional experience can be particularly valuable.

Can I Choose Roseanne if I Just Want Natural Everyday Makeup?
Absolutely.
You don't need to want complicated or glamorous makeup to benefit from Roseanne's experience. In fact, creating a really good natural everyday makeup routine can involve a surprising amount of customisation.
Your makeup needs to work for your actual life.
If you only have 10 minutes to get ready in the morning, there's little point teaching you a routine that takes 45 minutes.
If you don't like wearing foundation every day, we can find another way to create the finish you want. If you work long hours, spend time outdoors or need your makeup to withstand Singapore's heat and humidity, that should influence the products and techniques you use.
Your preferences matter too.
Some people love makeup and enjoy having lots of steps. Others want the smallest number of products possible while still looking polished.
Roseanne can customise a natural everyday routine according to your skin, your features, your lifestyle, your preferences and the amount of time you realistically want to spend doing your makeup.
More experience doesn't necessarily mean more complicated makeup.
Sometimes it means knowing what you can leave out.

What About the Ultimate Make-Up Course: Associate or Roseanne?
The same principle applies when choosing your trainer for our Ultimate Make-Up Course.
If you're a beginner who wants a comprehensive personal makeup education and would like to build your skills progressively, taking the course with an Associate can offer excellent value at S$999.
If you're looking for a greater degree of customisation throughout the course, have particular concerns you'd like to work on or want to draw on Roseanne's experience across the different techniques you learn, you may prefer taking the Ultimate Course with Roseanne at S$1,500.
You don't have to choose Roseanne simply because you're taking the longer course.
Choose based on what you actually need from your trainer.
Is an Associate Makeup Lesson Still Personalised?
Yes.
Choosing an Associate doesn't mean you're attending a generic group makeup class.
Our One-to-One Makeup Lesson is still private and personalised.
Your trainer can work directly with you, answer your questions, look at the products you're currently using and guide you while you practise the techniques yourself.
The difference is primarily the depth and complexity of customisation you're looking for.
For someone who wants to learn the basics and create a simple everyday makeup routine, an Associate may be the perfect fit.
For someone who has very particular concerns or wants more nuanced customisation, we'd recommend Roseanne.
What if I'm a Complete Beginner?
You can choose either.
If you've never properly learnt how to apply makeup and mainly want to understand the basics, we'd usually recommend starting with a Bloom Associate.
It gives you access to a private 1-to-1 personal makeup class without necessarily paying for a level of experience you don't need.
If you're a beginner but already know you have specific skin concerns, particular techniques you want to master or very specific expectations for your routine, you can absolutely choose Roseanne from the beginning.
You don't need any previous makeup experience to attend either option.
What About Availability and Class Schedules?
Your schedule may also help you decide whether to book your personal makeup class with Roseanne or a Bloom Associate.
Roseanne's Availability
Roseanne is currently available for classes:
Monday to Friday: 9am–6pm
Saturday: 9am–6pm
Roseanne does not currently teach evening classes, so if you'd specifically like to learn with her, you'll need to schedule your lesson during the daytime.
Bloom Associate Availability
Our Bloom Associates currently offer greater scheduling flexibility, with classes available daily from 9am–6pm, as well as an evening slot from 6:30pm–9:30pm.
This can make an Associate a particularly good choice if you work during the day, need a weekday evening makeup class, or simply want more options when scheduling your lesson.
So if availability is your main consideration:
Choose Roseanne if you can attend during the day from Monday to Saturday and would like her additional experience and level of customisation.
Choose a Bloom Associate if you need greater flexibility, particularly if you would prefer an evening or Sunday class.
All class timings remain subject to trainer availability when you make your booking.
What if I Want to Learn Personal Hairstyling Too?
There is one important exception when choosing between Roseanne and an Associate.
At the moment, our One-to-One Personal Hair Hairstyling Course is taught exclusively by Roseanne. Bloom Associates are not currently available for personal hairstyling lessons.
The three-hour private hair lesson covers areas such as using hot tools—including curling irons, hot brushes and straighteners—adding volume, choosing hair products and learning easy hairstyles that you can recreate on yourself. You also have hands-on practice during the lesson.
So if you're interested in learning both your own makeup and your own hair, you may want to consider this when choosing your trainer.
